The economy is a wholly owned subsidiary of the environment, not the other way around.
– Senator Gaylord Nelson, founder of Earth Day
Torrey House Press is a publisher with a cause. Headquartered in Torrey, Utah, we are an independent book publisher of literary fiction and creative nonfiction about the environment, people, cultures, and resource management issues of the Colorado Plateau and the American West. Our mission is to increase awareness of and appreciation for the land, particularly land in its natural state, through the power of pen and story.
Given our desire to contribute to the betterment of both the ecology and the economy of the West, we commit that two percent of Torrey House Press sales be donated to a select group of not-for-profit environmental organizations. Donations also fund a scholarship available to upcoming writers at Western colleges. 2% to the West is our trademark logo, placed on the front cover of each of our books, demonstrating our commitment.

The list of non-profits is determined annually. Contributions for 2011 will likely go to Grand Canyon Trust, Wild Utah Project, the Utah chapter of the Sierra Club, and the Southern Utah Wilderness Association. Thank you for asking!
Hi all:
Which non-profits does the 2% support?
