“Touchstone”

Larry Menlove lives near the tail end of the Wasatch Range, but not quite the tail, more near the haunch. His work has appeared in Weber Studies, Storyglossia, Dialogue, Irreantum, 12 Stories, and others. He is a two-time winner of the Salt Lake City Weekly literary prize and an AML award winner. He does not need encouragement to lick big, red, sandstone rocks.

“Louis A. Runs-Along”

Judi Blaze is a former print and media journalist and has written dozens of articles for newspapers and magazines, where she worked as a reporter, editor and freelance writer. She has just finished her fifth novel, Sunday at the Social Club. The novel follows Orchid Island, On Indian Time, Riding on a Rainbow, and Beach People. Go to the Water is her first collection of short stories.

“Motherlode”

Mark Maynard writes and teaches from the western edge of the Great Basin in Reno, Nevada. He earned an MFA at Antioch University Los Angeles and teaches fiction at Truckee Meadows Community College where he is also the Fiction Editor for The Meadow, an annual literary journal. His fiction has appeared in Shelf Life and The Duck and Herring Pocket Field Guide and his poetry has appeared in the Wild Things Tall Grass anthology.
